LDN Apprenticeships: Kenny Oyadotun

My Time at Health Foundry

Hello! If you read our November newsletter or met me in space, you'll know that I joined the Health Foundry team in November as a Business Administrator Trainee!

This opportunity was made possible by LDN Apprenticeships; a government funded program that helps young people by giving them the correct tools and knowledge to get their foot through the door in some of London’s prestigious companies, charities and startups.

My time at Health Foundry has now come to an end but I've learned so much from the team and community.

Before starting my placement, I set myself goals I knew would put me outside of my comfort zone. I wanted to develop my communication skills, something that has always been difficult for me as I find speaking to new people daunting at times. Being in such an open and innovative space allowed me to connect with people organically and I found myself reaching out to some of the members for chats and discussions about what they do and their experience at Health Foundry.

As this chapter of my journey comes to an end, another one opens promisingly. I'll be starting my well awaited career in IT for a non-profit health company called Livability who offer services for people in need of support to ensure that they can live the best version of their life.

Going into this new role coming from Health Foundry, a community that’s all about connecting, I felt compelled to bring these two organisations together. I hope through a potential collaboration in future that I can work with some of the brilliant team and individuals I met during my time at Health Foundry.
